MIVERI COLON
Miveri Colon was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She is the proud mother of two
children, Fredy and Anthony Noesi. They are her daily inspiration and motivation in life.
From a young age she proved to be very enterprising, participating in multiple social and ecclesial activities, while working and preparing academically. She obtained her bachelor’s degrees in economics and in architecture, at the Utesa University of Santiago.
After several years working in the Dominican Republic, she decided to emigrate to the United States. Twenty years ago, she began her work as an administrator with the A&E Group. The A&E Group is recognized as the largest Dominican owned independent supermarket group, in New York. For the past decade, she has served as the Chief Executive Administrator for A&E.
Prior to her role as Chief Executive Administrator, Colon served as the Director of Operations for A&E for five years. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, including store management, logistics, and human resources. She is credited with implementing a number of successful initiatives that improved efficiency and profitability.
Colon is a passionate advocate for education and community development. She is also a mentor to young Latina entrepreneurs. She is currently the operations manager and treasurer of FUPAC, a not-for-profit organization that strives to better the lives of the underprivileged.
In her spare time, Colon enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is also an avid reader and traveler.
