 INDUSTRY LEADER HONOREE
CYNTHIA RAMOS
Cynthia Ramos is an advocate, a matriarch, and a natural leader. Cynthia obtained her degree from New
England College before beginning her 20-plus years career in the food industry.
Cynthia realized at a young age that only through education could she pull herself out of the poverty she was born into. During that formative time, she realized she could either be a victim of her circumstances or an anomaly to the rule. Practicing what she preaches, Cynthia’s personal mission focuses on empowering everyone to understand that they have a choice. For Cynthia, transparency and integrity are highly valued as she firmly believes your character is only as good as your word. To that end, she brings solid values and ethics to everything she does.
As featured in Abasto’s magazine in an article entitled, “A Latina Making Giant Strides In The Food Industry,” Cynthia states, “...she did not choose her profession in sales, but that this career chose her.”
Cynthia has worked at Borden Dairy as Director of East Coast, Archway Cookies, and Parmalat, as well as local family-owned Hispanic distributors, including Iberia, Vitarroz, and LaCena.
Currently, Cynthia serves as the Chief Sales and Customer Officer of Krasdale Foods, established in 1908, where she has worked for over seven years and is responsible for many different departments, including sales, customer service, retail technology, category management, ISE initiatives, and efficiencies. With trust and passion for the process, Cynthia believes strongly in innovative tools and widespread training.
Throughout her career, Cynthia has bridged the gap within the LatinX community and made significant strides. Less than 34% of women occupy c-suite roles, and well under 11% are Hispanic. As a panelist at the NSA Women’s Forum: Health and Wellness Panel, Cynthia was asked what her highest accolade was, to which she responded that achieving such a goal at a young age was something she took great pride in. Cynthia’s drive, passion, and consistency have provided her with favorable outcomes, and she is excited to continue growing and expanding.
Cynthia is also a matriarch in other ways as a mother to three sons and a grandmother to three grandchildren. She has championed several causes close to her heart, including working further to advance the progress of other Latin women in business. Cynthia spends some of her free time as an advisor mentoring young girls for a non-profit organization called G.R.A.C.E. (Girls Reaching All Concepts of Excellence) and supporting domestic violence survivors.
