With over 18 years of banking experience, Mrs. Nanette Ureña offers a unique blend of dedication, loyalty, commitment, vision, and knowledge in the financial sector. She joined Ponce Bank in 2004 as a Bank Teller and since then she has steadily climbed the Ponce ladder to various positions including Head Teller, Customer Service Representative, Banking Operations Manager, Business Development Manager, Vice President/ Area Manager, and most recently Vice President/ Retail Banking Officer.
Mrs. Ureña served as a Business Development Manager from 2013-2017, where she was managing a substantial area of our Business portfolio clientele in the Upper Bronx region. She tailored her skills to meet the needs of our clients while seeking to leverage her experience and leadership skills as a Manager. Her efforts and strong qualifications led to a boost in employee engagement, and an upsurge in customer satisfaction and overall deposit growth.
In 2018, Mrs. Ureña was promoted to Vice President and Area Manager of our Bronx/ Manhattan branches. Her duties included engaging and networking with clients, ensuring the continuance of employee growth and satisfaction, as well as working closely with Executive Management to address departmental needs accordingly. Mrs. Ureña strived to advance branch performance during our retail transformation by steering the transition towards an enhancement of technology, targeted customer service satisfaction and an increase in employee learning and development. In her role as an Area Manager, Mrs. Ureña was also heavily involved in the community. She was dedicated to participating in community events and providing financial literacy to the youth.
Mrs. Ureña is key in our ongoing efforts for operational excellence and client focus. Currently as Vice President and Retail Banking Officer, Mrs. Ureña’s primary focus is to support our thirteen branches in accomplishing their financial goals while empowering our people to provide the best customer experience possible. These objectives not only allow us to achieve our strategic goals but also expands our ability to positively impact local neighborhoods. She also assists with the development and implementation of our Bank’s annual sales plan to establish customer service goals and market penetration benchmarks for our Retail team.
