It is a great pleasure to welcome everyone to the National Supermarket Association’s 27th Annual Gala.
New York has always been filled with great opportunities for entrepreneurs, and all of our residents, no matter their backgrounds, should have the chance to harness the vast potencial our city holds. Since its founding in 1989 by Latino American entrepreneurs to support independent has been a vital resource for small business owners across the five boroughs and beyond, tirelessly advocating for its members and working towards the growth of the industry. NSA has also been a terrific partner in our efforts to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to nutritious and affordable food options, and it is helping us forge a path to a better and more equitable future. I am proud to join in applauding this organization for adding to the fabric of our neighborhoods and look forward to the ways it will continue to strengthen our small business community in the years to come.
